RE: 2008 Nats Updates
Jonthan,
It's not Mike's fault. The Nats News is published daily, and covers the events from the day prior. For instance, the 7/14 issue has the events from 7/13. Tuesday's news should have the standings from Monday.
For today's results, call your dad I talked to Travis earlier, and got a brief rundown of who did what that he remembered, but he didn't know the actual standings. It sounded like most of the usual suspects were doing well.

Just got off the phone with him. He's frustrated that he's not going faster, but he made the Q500 finals. It sounds like most the normal guys made the finals.

RE: 2008 Nats Updates
Not to mention those were the top 10 from Monday. I know some of the names have changed, as according to Travis, Tom Hegland just missed the cut. Bummer, it would've been great to see one of the newer west coast guys do well

RE: 2008 Nats Updates
Just heard from someone down there and it sounds like a log jam for the top spot in quickie.. 4 way tie going into the last round.. None of the usual suspects either..

Well..so much for the new blood getting to the top. Just got off the phone with Gary Sr. as he's getting ready for Q40, but he told me what he remembered off the top of his head.
Q500 results....
1st...Gino DelPonte
2nd..Fred Burgdorf
3rd..Dave Norman
FT & 4th or 5th (not sure which) Randy Bridge
Congrats guys!

Yep, it's amazing how things can change in a couple rounds.. Dave N. said that he thought Travis was 4th and Randy was 5th..
I'm with you Gary, I was starting to wonder if everyone forgot their cell phones at home..

RE: 2008 Nats Updates
I know, a measly 10 hour drive and I could have been there.. That would be fine but I don't really have anything to fly.. Besides, I've designated '08 as a rebuilding year after dumping yet another $10K into this pit of a house.. [X(] I'll be there in '09 though..

RE: 2008 Nats Updates
The big NATS news is that there is a party tonight after the final with big steaks and lots to drink! Oh, and there are a least 4 guys who advanced to the final.
Wow how underwhelming[]
