hello I have a 40% extra 260 with a new DLE 170 running a xoar 32-10 the problem im having is the at half throttle the prop is going supersonic does anyone know what size of two blade prop that I should run to fix my problem?

30x13 CF prop is great for IMAC but you can send it supersonic at high throttle settings or a 32x12 CF (which is what I use). Since I do not fly 3D then this prop gives me the best of both worlds

The 30x13 will offer faster spool up in every case

Also, one thing about wood props, they are much less efficient that CF so they will get noisy fast as the blades actually flatten out.

I'm not sure of the DLE, but the DA170 peaks at around 6000 for torque (depending on exhaust system, more if you are using tuned pipes, not canisters) so you want to prop for that rpm. Find at what point the DLE max's torque (NOT MAX RPM) and prop for that

A Xoar 32X10? Heck my DA150 will make your ears bleed with one of those at 3/4 throttle. Try something in a Mejzlik 30X12 or one of the suggestions above.

great thanks for all the help everyone I ordered a mejzlik 30-12 the light version it is a super nice and light prop havent got a chance to fly it yet but will this weekend
