Hay Joe that is my DP 540T in the picture you posted. It's a very nice plane. What do you plan to power it with?

Hi Todd,
I am supposed to be getting these plans from Al at J-tec soon, what kind of changes are you making? If you can't find mufflers for your plane, let me know what you want and i can build you a custom set, i am an aluminum TIG welder by trade and have made quite a few muffler systems, the last one i made was for my 33% edge and it sounds just like a JMB can, and is more powerful than a Bisson, but fits in where a bisson would, bo cutting of teh firewall, i also just made a set of cans for a buddy's DA 100, but not sure how they worked out yet, if you are interested let me know, and we can work something out, by the way the cans for teh DA 100 only cost the guy$75 canadian. Let me know and keep me upfdated on the Ultimate. Thanks Bill Morrison

I would love to figure out how to keep working on my Lanier 40% Edge (it's currently about 2000 miles away from me now) so I can have it ready for Summer, and now I am looking at getting a set of plans for a Hostetler Cessna 310R. Too many projects, too little money!!!

Figueroa, be sure to have a look at my Edge build thread, which I am sure is a number of pages back now. Hopefully you can learn from some of my mistakes and discoveries.

Doh....sorry for high jacking your picture, it just looked so scale from the angle you took it.

I actually just picked up a brand new Moki 2.10 for it. I'll use a Cline or Perry pump not sure which. Should be around 14 lbs and the Moki will pull it around like it's nothing.

No prob. Just wondered where you got it. It's on our club site, thought you might have been to the site and it's a rush to see your plane posted by someone else.

Thanks, Miloh.

No I just got it Wednesday. Inspected it and did inventory. Also picked up the Moki 2.10 Thursday brand new for $250 cash. I will start on it next week.

BTW, your ail throws look like about 60 degrees. Man that must do some sweet 3D.

RTK:
If you will notice there are no control rods. I had it out at the field to run in the motor this day. I had just gotten it all together with the motor and was still waiting for the servos to come in.

Joe: I do have it set up for max through on high rates but the 150 Saito just is not enough for much more than good pattern work. I have since put together a GP 1/4 Patty with a DA 50 and it's the BOMB!!!! I think I'll do the same for the DP 540 this winter. I have to strip it down and do some repair and recover this winter as well. I pancaked it in on the first flight when the motor quit and just did a quick patch to get it back in the air. It will be a 3D Monster with the moki. ENJOY.

Joe,
The DP 40 % Edge will fly with a Moki 2.10. I thought a big plane like that would need at least a
100cc gas engine.

No, it's the 25% Edge not the 40%. The 40% would need a Moki 2.10 on each wing.

Thanks Joe,
I was just about to send my DA 150cc back and buy a Moki 2.10 and a DP 540 40% . I have a 25% DP Extra 330L with an OS 1.60 which I really liked until I got my Comp-arf 2.6 Extra. I am looking forward to my 40 % Edge 540.

My flying buddy shawn just got the aeroworks 50cc ultimate, so that makes 3 ultimates, 1 edge, and 1 giles in my shop for the winter build.

I'm building a 33% Giles from ProCraft Models plans. I built a 35% Hurley Extra last year and decided to go a little smaller this year. Since I haul my plans in a station wagon, the Hurley was just too much work putting it together at the field. This Giles will be a little more managable.
