Space I currently use Mej 28x10 which is good, for both 3D and IMAC. If I was looking at 3D alone, I might be inclined to drop an inch on dia for this make, although I do like the 28" diameter. I have also purchased a PT Models 28x10 which I have heard good reports about. Carbon again but its much lighter so will unload the engine a little more.

this is fine in the early stages but I found them a little noisy... I think Carbon is better.
Go with this for 20 litres.... I ran mine for 20L on a Menz 26x10 to run in.

As an FYI, I got the new heavy duty wing tube set that BVM is now offering as a retrofit. It's noticably thicker and sturdier, I think you'd have to do a full throttle wall to bend this one, and even them it might not do it. The new tube is 16oz versus 11oz for the original, I can't weigh the stab tube accurately, as it has some wood in it and a blind nut, so a comparison won't be accurate, however, the original is .98mm thick, the replacement is 1.98mm. In all, not a big difference in weight but they certainly add a margin of safety to this excellent plane.

So, after some serious flying time has gone by, I'm curious as to how many of you love the plane, and how many of you might have some misgivings about this plane. Lots of positive comments come when any product is young...now that you've flown it for a while, abused it a bit, and had to repair it...what are your opinions now??? I never see any mention of this plane anywhere...
I want one, but would like more input...comments anyone???

This is a great question, and I'm in the same boat, I want one but want to know how you all like it after you've had it for a while. How many of you use it as your "primary" plane, because that's what it would be for me.

I can't give you a long term perspective on it, as I've just made the first 2 flights on mine today since I bought it. However, I bought mine from a good friend who has been flying it since June or so, and I've flown it a few times while he owned it. I liked it well enough from the few flights I did on it that I when he wanted to go to a 40% Extra that I talked him into selling it to me. Here's a long term look at it after all those flights:
It looks and flies like new still. Even after all those flights, all with hard 3d, nothing has worn, nothing has gotten loose. Even with most of the last 50 flights ending in Harrier landings, it is still solid.
The plane tracks beautifully through the air, and is very predictable in what it's going to do. It's extremely precise, and does precision aerobatics with ease, and is a 3d monster at the same time. It's the first plane I've flown that it's easy to do multiple snaps on uplines without going off track or losing energy.
Basically, it's an awesome plane. I love it.

I was looking at this plane also.
How does is harrier? Any wing rock.
Would be nice to see a 40% edge that had a low wing load.

The edge is my first giant plane and I am very happy with it. I was a bit scared at the beginning because I was wondering whether I would be able to fly it or not. After the maiden all my fears disappeared. It's very very easy to fly the edge. even better than a trainer.
I have only 10 flights but I am sure that I have made the right choice when buying my edge. I am still breaking in my da1OO so I avoid doing hovering or torqroll however flat spin, blender, ..... are very easy to perform.
Don't be afraid :buy it , you won't be disppointed.

I have not noticed any wing rocking when harrier.( actually I have not too much throw on the elevator so my harriers are not very agressive but so far I am happy with what the plane and I are doing)

Mine is the best plane for Harriers that I've flown so far, tied with the H9 Cap 232. The nose gets very high, and there's not a bit of rock, it's easy to steer around, and it doesn't have any tendency to fall out.

All,
I dont know how many flights I have had with mine, I estimate about 50 or 60 in the space of about 4 months.
It is a great all round package in the air. Ive done good 3D and effective IMAC competition with it too. A very good balance for both imo.

Good luck with it, I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. Here's a quick video of a few of us guys on Christmas Eve, there's a few minutes of my Edge in it. Nothing spectacular, I was a little rusty so I never got close to the ground, but I still think it's pretty cool.
