My position is too well documented already, but I'll still maintain that to go wrong with any of the Wild Hare planes would require a lot of effort. Great planes, great service! I wish all the manufacturers and suppliers would do as well with and for their customers.

Of course you'll get all the Wildhare cronies coming in here saying things like "Great plane for the money", "Excellent for beginners to advanced pilot". But don't believe them! They are all under the influence of some wild drug manufactured I think in Taiwan. The euphoria that they have is no doubt induced by some form of dust that comes from these planes. I have also suffered from this drugs effect. It forces me to keep buying these damn planes to get my next rush. I’m on plane #3 now.
I caution you, beware of these planes you to could become another victim.
You’ve been warned.

I have a Wild Hare 28% Edge 540T. I like it very much mine came out at about 18 lb. It flies great, I am still getting it trimed out.
I am also looking at Aero Tech's Volex II comes with a lot of extras that Wild Hare doesn't.
Check it out at www.aerotech-rcmodels.com

I recieved mine early on #85 just finished it! I flew it Saturday for the first time! Brisson 3.2 Plenty of power. Flys Great. Roll rate is very good at low settings. I made some mistakes in the placement of the Electronic ignition and had some glitching going on! Landed safely! I moved some stuff around! I also isolated the ignition equip. with a piece of .012" aluminum from a printing plate. Learned alot without wrecking the plane. I did a range check at full throttle and the glitch seems to be gone.
I'm gonig to fly it again on the forth. I can't wait cut it loose.
Great Job Tom
This is a very well built ARF. Great Value. I'm going to buy the 73" Version to replace my GP Giles 202 that is getting tired!

Hello; You cannot go wrong with the the Wildhare 540T. I am on my second one. Great plane and 3Ds very good. Lands like a goose with sore feet. If you go that direction WH, keep it light carbon wing tube, carbon tail wheel, lithium batts. and no pilot. My plane is 16.7lbs and fly very light. Unlimited vertical with a DA-50. And you could not ask for better service that Tom provides for his customers. Hope this helps.

The Edge is one of our most popular planes, it's something that everybody likes. Excellent first gasser, it allows you to concentrate on the other things and not have to worry about handling problems from the plane.

I've had two of them, with a third sitting in the shop waiting to go. The W/H 84" Edge is a benchmark that you can use to grade any other product by. It flys extremely well, and due to that helps you build 3D ability and confidence quickly. Why have I had 3? Because I just can't see being without one, and a plane that let's you push the envelope so close to the limits can get dumb thumbed from time to time. I have quite a few other planes but the Edge is one that I won't do without.

Don't know, all I've ever seen is Pats edge. His planes never fly a straight line more than about 10'. The rest of the time it's harriers, rolling circles, things without a name, thrashing fences etc. The plane is a natural tumbler. The one I've seen can't land for s**t.

RE: Wild Hare Edge 540 T
Hi people
Iam in Australia, up north and out by myself as far as model people go.am really interested in getting a 50cc plane and have seen this Edge 540 v2. I must say that if a have a weak spot it is my landings, I have been flying for 2 years now.
How do these things land?????, do they wing stall real easy and is the under carridge built well.
I really cannot get to see these things first so really rely on others opinions and so far I have been advised well.
This plane will cost about $3000 Aust dollars to build so I need to get it right.
Is the hardware package from WH good and worth buying????. Can you get a carbon fibre wing strut??. DA 50 motor? Prop size?
So many questions, will this guy ever stop!!
regards Lee

RE: Wild Hare Edge 540 T
Pretty much a yes to all your questions. I have mine now for 4 years and have over 1200 flights. I have a FPE 52cc in it. The landings are a dream, especially with a wind of over 5k's, no wind you have to use some throttle. I have the old Edge and a few of my friends have the new one the V2 and it is just bigger but the same construction especially the landing gear plate. It is very solid. All I can say is that I personnally highly recommend it.
re the parts package I can't answer you that, as I never ordered it. But I am sure knowing WH that is is top notch.
