Mine flys great........my friend built the 42% one to about 75% done, then sold it to another friend of mine and he built it to the covering point.....then he sold it to get a 40%Yak

So I've never seen the 42% fly. But its the spitting image of the 35%.

My kit had double rudder wood and was missing one aileron set of leading edges......other than that it was fine.

It flies great. His kits tend to be tail heavy so keep that in mind. mine came in around 27.5 lbs with smoke system. I added about 6-8oz in the nose of the cowl to balance it out.

I have the 42% Edge, and the 42% Velox Revolution II from AeroTech. Nice kits, and the wood quality is very nice. I am framing up the 42% Edge right now. I have seen many of John's planes fly, and all flew well. I like the laser cut fuselage parts. I have the 40% Yak ordered from John also, and should receive that soon. I see someone said the instruction's are poor, but usually a person building these type planes already knows what to do and the instructions are just a guide. I am very satisfied with the kits, and feel they are one of the best kits out there. Scott

This is my first time ever ordering anything from a manufacturer I usualy get my local hobbyshop to get what I need
last year I got the guy to carry Desert Aircraft Just so I could Have my 150 since then he has become one Toronto's largest Desert dealers
So I am a bit nervious about sending $1000,00 and waiting for something that I have not seen I hope I would have a good experiance with John
and if all goes well I am going to get one of his 35% Yaks for my da 100

Hello,

I have had very good dealings with them. John will help in anyway during your building process. He did say to me once because I didnt get him a couple of times is to email him since there are times hes doing it all by himself and can miss calls.

Thanks
Tony

John will always answer e-mails. I also can get him on the phone pretty often. Don't worry, the kit will come. I bought both my 42% Edge and Velox from him at the same time. Sometimes John has some delays with his suppliers. He is working hard to give better service. You will be very satisfied with your kit when it arrives. Scott

ok here we go my plane arrived on friday I picked it up at a friends plant where it was shiped to 3 large boxes
on inspection every thing looked great except the wings the hole for the tubes were cut wrong I let jhon know about them and a new set is on it's way
let me tell all those that were doubting this company on other threds the quality is great the build is even nicer I like the fact the plane build stronger then the carden
and having formers all the way to the back instead of the thruss work in the carden
Anyhow these are the pics from first days work everything lined up great the fues is built upside down on full size plans and the quality of the wood was top noch
good work Jhon

Day 3 was not a very productive day it was my aniversery and fathers day so could not nget much workshop time I managed to get about an hour in and finished the front hatch
again no surprises everything fit great I am not going to have a removeble turtle deck so four bolts is all it needs to secure the front deck and cockpit hope tommorow will have more time to work on it

Lookin Good Artin! Here's a shot of one I'm building for a customer. As you can see I made a change on the turtledeck. I added foam and extended the wood all the way back rather than go through the kludgy way the plans call for.

Thanks guys I am realy enjoying the build the quality of this plane is outstanding the cowel went on without any triming or sanding
I tell you I was a bit nervos in the bigining and was leaning towards carden but I figured with my building experiance no mather how bad the kit or the design could get I could correct it and save myself a few bucks but to my surprise this is by far a nicer plane it's larger the quality is outstanding and builds simpler and stronger
in two more weeks the picture below is what this baby will look like
