Radiocraft 33% Extra 330
I have a chance to purchase a new uncovered Radiocraft Extra 330
and was wondering what some of you more experianced Giant Scale
fliers thought about this plane?
Everything I have read to date say's this was a great flying plane.
This would be my second plane after the 28% Wild Hare Edge540T.
Thanks for the help

RE: Radiocraft 33% Extra 330
Advent,
I'm not sure what information you are looking for, but I had one for two years and loved it. I flew it in the Adavnced class in IMAC and it was a very competitive airframe. Mine was equipped with a DA-100 on KS cannister mufflers, single 8411 on each aileron and elevator, and a Hitec 5735 on rudder (pull-pull). It flew very light. About my only compaint with the plane is the gear mount. It is recessed a bit into the fuse to allow for the cannister installation. For this reason, DO NOT use carbon gear on the plane. Any flexing will break the fuselage.
In short - if you have a chance to buy one, DO IT. You will not be disappointed.

Thank's guys,
Bottom line is that I have seen one fly at our club and
it looks great! I just wanted to double check with you guys.
I love the fact that it is an ARC, no time to build a full
kit. Single aileron servo is a nice cost savings also.
Let me ask one othe question...
I see that the Colombo Anderson Extra 34% ARC is around
800.00... How do these planes compare to each other?

I dont know how they compare, but I do have experience with the radiocraft. It is a very sturdy airframe and I liked it alot. It flies IMAC manuevers smoothly and can 3D as well. I really did love this plane and you would not be disappointed.

The CA 34% fuse is much more narrow and your plug will stick out with the DA or 3W. I have the Jtec Radiowave(same plane, one of the same guys from Radiocraft). I also have gone with the carbon gear (Graphtec) and have had no problems with too much flex. Try to keep it under 28 lbs and it will really fly light in the sticks. I added a smoke system to mine and the flight characteristics do change a little with the added weight. It still flies very well though. I make take the smoke out.

Sorry, planes are slightly different. From what I have heard from guys who have flown both at our field, the ones from Radiowave are slightly different. That is why the one that Kelly is looking at specifically says "Made in Mexico" vs. the newer ones that are made in China.
Just my $.02 worth.

slightly different - yes.
different flight characteristics - not really!
Just try to keep it light, The RADIOCRAFT will make it easier as it has buit-up wings.
