Engine for Super Cub
Have just about finished framing out myDynaflit PA18 Super Cub, need some advice as to a suitable engine, the plans show a US Engines 25cc gas motor,
the question i have is which motor would sound the best scale wise, have heard a Zenoah 26 and am not impressed with the sound, power was fine, any suggestions or thoughts on this Thanks

RE: Engine for Super Cub
I have a Saito 182 twin in my Super Cub. I used the Keleo exhaust and it sounds great. http://www.keleo-creations.com/ It flies very scale and not near as heavy as G-26.

RE: Engine for Super Cub
I have to agree on the Zenoah engine. Cost of flying will be much cheaper with the G-26 than any of the other engines. If the Saito220 burns anywhere near the amount of fuel their 180 does, you will be broke trying to keep your plane in the air! I have the Hanger 9 Super Cub 100" wingspan. I have been flying mine for two years with a G-23 with a Slimline Pitts style muffler. It sounds pretty good when flying her at 1/3 throttle. I can fly quit a while on a tank of fuel and at $2.50 a gallon, it is great compaired to the $15 a gallon for glow. Just one man's opinion.
