It looks like you screwed the canopy to the outside of the canopy frame.

Canopy: He did. You make the sort of cock ups when ur working at 2am in the morning with no instructions....

It ended its short life today. Signal loss, we think down to Power box fail!

Nice looking model Laura, sorry to hear you lost it.

What do you mean by power box fail? Can you describe the problem or failure mode?

Helped sort the wreckage.

Model flew past at 200ft or so at mid throttle when it was realised that there was no control. Model didn't go into failsafe and there was no control whatsoever. Rx checked out fine afterwards.

Was not a full blown powerbox in the model - just a PowerBox 40 battery pack cross over but that was destroyed in the crash. As there was no power to the servos it points to the battery backer more than anything else as it is unlikely that both batteries failed at the same time.

Sorry to "but in" Laura!

Rush to fly and to quick to die.....Thats a b1tchy comment if ever i heard one.
He has built:
2 Composite ARF kits.
Loads of Jets.

Not structual fail a Power to Radio fail.
You can spend hours polishing your model, looking at it. Shall I fly it this week na save it til next week. But when the radio says im not working anymore, its good bye.

Laura
Ps: He flew it Sunday and it was ok.

How were the fail-safes setup and were the checked to see what happened when the TX was shut off? Maybe "HOLD" last position was in play? You must setup failsafe parameters with each model, the TX is dumb. Did you program these parameters?

What was the flight attitude of the model as it traveled along prior to the crash?

No power would allow the servos to do as they will and free wheel, HOLD on the hand will do just that under power with lack of a signal.

Engine off. Fail Safe.
Always check fail safe on petrol as well as Jets!

It was just nothing no signal between plane and tranny, he even tried switching the engine off he had the time in which to do so.
