Default OS 320 4 cylinder engin for 1/4 scale CAP 10B

I have a Yellow Aircraft CAP 10B that weighs 17 lbs. A freind has an OS 320 4 cylinder engine for sale and I trial fitted it into the cowl and it fits fine. My question is does the OS 320 4 clinder have the power to pull an airplane that has a 40 oz/square foot wing loading?

I would think it would pull it in a very scale fassion, not 3d, but as the full scale flew. The 320 is pretty stout little motor.

I second that motion. I have a 320 in a 26 pound float plane and it will do most that I want it to on 1/2 throttle. Also I agree with flyinrazorback that the 320 is not a 3-D engine. Take care of it and it will run forever!

My friend has one of these jewels in a 1/3 scale Super Cub that weighs 35 lbs. and it has plenty of power for this. I would think you would be OK your Cap is rather small compared to this Cub.

A lot depends on the prop you use also, and if you want to do 3d such hovering, be expecially carefull with the cooling of the rear cylinders.
