Default 34% extras

for those with a 34% Planes Plus or Extreme Flight Extra, is your thrust line suppose to be 2-7/16" down from the top of the firewall??

i have a planes plus and there was no manual in the box. i downloaded the CHP manual from aeroworks website and it lists 2-7/16".

however i have a scribed line on my firewall which is 2-3/16" down from the top of the firewall.

thanks
tony

Mine's 2-3/8" down from the top of the engine box on my CHP Extra. I would go ahead and use the line they have scribed in the firewall and go with it and match the cowl up to it as best as you can.
BTW, I did a test fit on mine based on the firewall markings and it looked just fine, and I am picky.

FWIW:

What you’re asking about the "engine center-line height" is not extremely critical; this number simply matches the cowl to the firewall and is relative to the imaginary Datum line. A small deviation is insignificant IMO. However the horizontal offset from center is generally used to compensate for p-factor. Its pretty common to see a 1/4" or better offset left side of center sitting in the cockpit.

I have a PP Extra, I'll go take look for you and advise a little later.

Yes, I have a manual somewhere around here. I'll see if I can't find it.

Looks like 2-5/16" from the top of the motor-box on mine.
