Default model aircraft composites 41% cap

I have recent recieved a 41% Cap 232 from Model Aircraft composites. Does anyone know how well they fly or what kind of deflections i should set it up with? I have a partial manual. I got it complete, less engine and i will be installing a 3w200B2 on it. I would like to hear the good and bad about it if anyone knows.

Thanks in advance!

Put some lead in the nose. They have a tendency to come out tail heavy.

I'm in the same boat. I just got one too and will pick it up after my deployment. Mine has a old 3W 160B4 powering it. Should sound cool and should take care of the tail heavy aspect.

I love Caps!!!

So yes, if anyone has any info on this plane I could use it too.

Hopefully the Cap will get popular again so that we have more choices for 118" Caps. I have had some pretty nice arfs in the last few years and would love to see one of those companies do a big Cap.

Nothing tumbles like a CAP!!! Especially a big CAP!!!

Well got one in a trade last month, and it has two or theree scuba diving lead weights on the nose. It is powered by a 3W 150 but I have changed all the servos to new ones so I have not flown it yet. I too would benefit from a manual or something... I called Gerhard at AI as he was the original distributor for this plane (he didn't even remember as it was a long time ago) but he told me that the guy ended its business long time ago but was going to re-enter the market soon... I asked him if there were any replacement parts available and told me to give him a call a couple of weeks later to see on that. I have not gotten the chance to call him. So if anybody of you guys gives Gerhard a call and knows anything about this aircraft I would much appreciate it...
Best regards,
Homero

Hey Todd let me know how the plane goes with a 200 I am planning on changing my engine for a heavier one so that might be the ticket , well if the plane deserves it...

It should be fine, its a big Cap! So it will be short coupled, do incredible tumbles, have a insanely powerful tail, high rate rudder should actually stop forward motion and probably touchy to land.

You know, a Cap.

I can't wait to get home and fly mine! 2 more weeks!

I have a 3W 44% Cap 232.. 126 inch span. just aquired it in a deal, the plane has just been totally rebuilt with new paint and covering , I installed Futaba 9152''s int the wings and for the rudder and Futaba9157's on the elevator I am looking for a suitable engine at the moment .. am thinking along the lines of a DLE 170 since they are reasonably priced new, anybody know the recommended CG point ?

There is a huge build thread on flying giants. It was flown on a 3w 200.
