I am in the process of putting together a Sig 1/3 scale Spacewalker. I am leaning toward a full cockpit with all of the details. I am looking for a 1/3 scale pilot that would fit this plane. Does anyone know of a company who makes a pilot that would fit this requirement? I am looking for something with the leather like helmet and coat. Typical of the roaring 20's and 30's barn storming days. Thanks in advance.

Hello DD,
I just got my pilot from Axel's Scale Pilots...here is his web address:
http://www.axels-scale-pilots.de/
He is based in Germany - takes about 6 weeks to get one - but you get to pick out everything...I've been building planes for over sixteen years and I have to say that this is the coolest thing I have ever gotten! Axel is a great guy to deal with as well!

Oops...the pilot in the picture is a 1/3 scale full body - he is going in my Balsa USA Stearman. Axel even gave him a Cubs baseball hat! He wasn't cheap though...after the exchange rate he ran me $300 - well worth it in my opinion.

Hey Buzz,
I communicated via email - they can communicate in english rather well. Their website lets you download an order form - I just emailed Axel what I wanted and he emailed me the price. I had to pay using Western Union...

Hi Justin,
I also order a full body pilot from Axel, and I paid via Western Union. My pilot was completed after 6 weeks. How long did it take for delivery? I've been waiting for over two weeks now.

Hey Dwayne,
It took about 2 -3 weeks for the pilot to arrive if memory serves...mine got caught in customs in Canada, sounds like yours did too. I'm thinking about ordering another one - the Stearman is screaming for a wing walker
