Aw. Ok. I jumped the gun there a bit. I thought everyone should have a garage like mine.
1 - old Ford Mustang.
2 - Harley Davidsons.
1 - Large standup tool box
1 - 8 ft Workbench.
1 - Drill press
1 - Band saw
1 - disc/belt sander
1 - 27% Oracle Pitts Challenger
1 - 27% Christen Eagle II (slightly damaged) [link=http://image.rcuniverse.com/forum/upfiles/56805/Ca82342.jpg]http://image.rcuniverse.com/forum/upfiles/56805/Ca82342.jpg[/link]
1 - 58" Waco
1 - electric Christen Eagle
4 - mono wing planes
1 - Bowflex system (don't ask)

But I guess y'all like those la-de-da garages that you can actually get in

LOL....

1960 Landrover

BossHoss Motorcycle (XXL size)

shop equipment ..ditto

I don;t even want to count the planes.

My side door only opens half way....too much junk. Sounds like we would be home in each others garages.... I just squeezed a 1/4 Cub in here this week........

Kevin,

We recently called you in reference to acquiring permission to reproduce your logo (Pitts Python) and see if you had the artwork for it. There have been a few requests from some of our customers for this scheme in our quality decal sets when some of the planes start to come out. We never heard back from you and were wondering if this is still going to be possible?

Thanks,
Bryan Zang

Brian,

To be honest, I forgot to call you back. Since returning from Oshkosh, I have been up to my eyeballs in the shop.

You mentioned in your phone call that you had a few trueworthy builders in need of graphics for their 41% models. I checked with Bob and found out that he has made arrangements with Ed at Screaming Aero Graphix (www.screamingaero.com) to produce the logo sets for the 41% and 50% airplanes like we did on Tom Drake's 41% that was at Joe Nall this year. Ed made the full size logos and the 41% set for Tom's airplane.

As I have mentioned in the past, we own the Pitts Python logo but not all the others that were on the airplane. I got permission from each company to place their logo on our airplanes but did not get the right to distribute it. You should approach those companies to see if they are OK with you reproducing their logo for models.

You can give me a call or email me directly through my website if you like so we can discuss the issue further. I will be in the shop this weekend mostly in the paint room so I might miss a few calls. Leave a message and I will get back to you.

Now out to the model shop to work on our new 50cc yak!

Reading this exchange , I am a little confused.

Aerotech is going to have a Python scheme...black and yellow...right?

Does the Pitts Python decals that are on the 1:1 come with it?? Or are we on our own to complete it??

Just want to clarify.....I am still on the fence about the red/white or the Python scheme.

loading up the BUSA 1/4 Cub for a Sat morn of relaxing putting....and NOT on a golf course.

Kevin,

I guess I'm a little confused. I understand that you own the rights to the logo that you have produced. Just as we own the rights to our Aero Graphix logo, (www.aerographix.biz) and name, along with anything else that comes out of our shop until someone pays for those rights or buys the artwork. We have over 500,000 logos that we have written permission from other manufactures such as some of the ones on the Pitts plane to use at our discretion. So those are not an issue. What I called about before and what I wrote in my previous post was that we were looking to attain permission to reproduce your (Pitts Python) logo for some of the models that are coming out. Not only Trueworthy but to include Aerotech and who ever else comes out with one of these models. From what I am reading in your post you are suggesting that decal customers can only buy from the company you are recommending that Trueworthy went through?

Over the last year we have found that many of our customers like to change out the decal sets that come with ARF's over to our custom sets to make their planes unique and not the same as everyone else. Most of the time it's a change in material such as Holographic vinyl films that give the decal a stand out look that is different form most others.

I will call you Monday Morning to try and get something sorted out.
Thanks,
Bryan Zang

Default RE: Updates on the Pitts Model 12

Bryan,

Sorry to add to the confusion. Based on what you told me on the phone, I had understood your request for the logos to be on behalf of a "few 41% builders" not for you to be able to supply every size and brand of python with logos and decals. If it were just a handful of 41% guys, I didn't see any sense in someone going through all the trouble to reinvent everything if it were already available from a reasonable source. Further, I thought the Aero tech Pythons would be coming with a decal set and or decals already installed as part of the ARF offering and such didn't realize there was a market for replacement decals for this series of models.

So, let's talk on Monday as you wrote so we don't clutter up this thread with sorted details.

BTW, the full size Pitts Python has been in it's new home country since early June. Just about all the logos are different now with the exception of the python snakes. He removed the logos of all our vendors and replaced them with his company logos and teams numbers, etc. The airplane should be unveiled later this fall at which time photos and details of what it looks like now will be made available.

John,

... and September is finally here. Are we on schedule for a September delivery or should we take another dose of patience? :-)

Hello John,

Are your containers on the ship yet? That would probably give us a good idea based on what we all know about importing time frames. That probably drives you more crazy that anything eh?

The import export drill seems to be very time consuming. People like John are at the mercy of governments in this part of the process and that has to be very difficult in marketing and advertising. It will be here when it gets here is the best stance for John to take. We're hanging in there with you John! If you can, tell us when the container hits the water. Not looking for promised available dates but it is always nice to hear about progress.
