VETTE CITY GIANT SCALE
Come join us in Bowling Green, Ky July 29 and 30. This is our first Giant Scale. Mac Hodges and his B-29 will be flying with us. 800x50 new black top and electric hook-ups. Field opens Friday. Motels with-in 2 miles. I-65 exit 28 take to Bowling Green 2nd stop light Rt.. follow the signs. Food and drinks. Motor homes and camping welcome. Dennis

this should be a great event since it is located less than 5 minutes from I-65

Just got off the local TV station about the fly-in. I guess you'll do anything to help the club. It's not going to be very sticky weather and winds are going to be SW at 8 or less. Friday will be open flying. Dennis

Man I really wish I could make it to that one. I was going to come down after my clubs fly-in (Sat) but that's turned into an all day affair. Then sunday I'm headed to sikeston, just learned of that yesterday. Anywho, I hope everything goes really well for you guys, we need more big fly-in in Ky for sure! I'll plan farther ahead next year so I can make it.

I'll definitely be there Saturday. I need to burn some gas in the big Ultimate.
The jet meet was a great time. I'm sure this one will be as well.

That B-29 show was the coolest! Mac Hodges( aka- C.O.Jones) really puts on a show. I rank it right up there with the full scale glider with the 2 AMT turbines.
Then throw in the 50% Extra 300, now that's a giant plane.
Then toss in the great folks that put this together, and you have a first class event.
I had a great time guys, see you again soon.

Pictures will be coming soon. Had a great time with lots of flying. The flight line was full of planes. The weather held but it was hot, many had brought fans and that helped. A big thank you to Mac and Joe for bringing their REALLY big planes. Both tell us they plan on coming again next year. Had a good turn out from the people of Bowling Green. A quick count on Sat. was close to a thousand came to watch. we will have it again on the last week-end of July next year and hope to see more of you guys. Thank you all for your support. Yeah, totally realistic. The most realistic pilot I've ever seen. He was a half-finger short but other than that perfect. Jerry's a good friend of mine and belongs to the Scottsville club that I belong to.

Great videos and pics. Jerry is one of the best guys around and a great pilot too. Funny thing is that he was heading home from church so his wife was probably with him for the ride. Must be a great wife to do a 4 point and cuban 8 with.

Off topic: I was talking to some of the local GS 3D guys, we may try to make a trip up there sometiume this fall if thats ok? We could have soe sort of unnofficial fly-in.. I've never flown off pavement, and I've never heard a bad thing about your field. So I want to go! I'll be in touch

Nice pics of Jerry's cub. Just an FYI. The cub in the cub is a GP arf that is powered (or should I say over powered) by a Hacker A20-20L and a 3s-2100 li-po. Talk about getting up and moving! I'll pass the pics on to Jerry of his cub as well.
The stearman with radial motor was really awesome as well. Looks as good in person as it does on the net. Great pics.
