Default Props

Hi Vic

I am afraid I am of the big prop less pitch types. I found that when going vertical the lower pitch props do wonders when trying to hang on the prop. IMO.

Maybe we could pull off a Dynaflight SD get to gether somewhere. Maybe were they make the real thing. Wouldn't that be cool.....

Wonder if we could get some demo flights in the real thing????

Default Dagnabbit!!

I can't believe it. I bought one about two years ago but ended up selling it still new in the box because I was afraid it would not perform the way I wanted it to. Well, after all this positive input I'm going to have to get another one. Hope I can do as nice a job with it as you did, Cloudniner. By the way, thanks, Niner, for posting the additional pictures.

Default Sorry Justin

Justin

I realize that you started this thread asking if there was an easy way to do the star burst thing. Look what happend!

I do have a bunch more pics of the real thing if you are interested. I must say that I gathered these from all over the internet and that most are not my pics. I do not have a digital camera yet, but one is on my Xmas list.

Hey, no problem! Lots of great info! A real testament to the quality of the plane! Now, if someone on RCU could invent a time machine, I would never have to sit through another winter!

I would greatly appreciate any additional pics! A get together would be quite a sight!

BTW Aerohead Tower Hobbies (www.towerhobbies.com) has the kit for only $124.99! A steal! I think the MSRP is $199!

Thanks againg for the pics, I have been inspired to do a fully scale cockpit, hand made seats and all! What have I gotten myself into!

They must be popular, Tower is now selling them for $149! Still a great price, but they won't have anymore until late Jan!

Hey Richard,

Quick question, the last picture you posted shows the pilot in the front seat, I'm wondering if this is the typical position. I know in Cubs, the pilot usually sits in the rear. I've never seen a SD fly and I would like to position my pilot in the right place. Thanks!

Default Front or Back???

Justin

To tell the true I am not 100% sure.

Most of the pics I have of the real thing flying do have the pilot in the front seat.

Here is one that might be of some proof.

Let's have a get together at the factory!!

Some where in my Bookmarks I have the factory web site. If someone has it please post. I will try to find it and post if someone doesn't find it first.

Found It

Here is the factory web site:

Richard,

Just checked Champion's website, Rochester WI is only a 1 1/2 hr drive from me! I just might have to go up there, bring my dig cam along and get some snapshots!

Default Thanks Extra300s7

Hey, even at $149 it's still a bargain. I bought one from Tower when they first came out and they were $179. Does anybody know who makes the best glass cowl and pants set for this plane? I don't want to have to deal with the ABS stuff that comes with it. Guess I'll go ahead and order one. The Brison 2.4 sounds just right. I had their 3.2 and it ran great.
