RE: Aeroworks vs Aviation Models YAK54 / Da 50 vs 3W 55i questions
I would not recommend either plane , or either engine
Someone suggested the new QQ 86" Yak, it shold be a great plane.
For planes, I recommend the BME 87" Yak, the "new" Ultra RC 87" Yak, or the new 50cc offerings coming from Extreme Flight in Jan.
For the engine, power, weight, reliability, & service, it has got to be the Taurus 52cc.
My .02.

Hi Chaps,
I don't want to start WW3 but I am very interested to hear peoples opinions on the advantages of the Aeroworks 85" YAK54 vs the Aviation Models 87" version of the same plane ? Also what do people think is the best engine for these models ? I hear great things about the DA 50 but the 3W 55i also gets good reviews, has anyone tried both and have a definite preference ? I'd be looking for 3D performance in one or the other of these airframes.
Many thanks, and remember "no kicking, no biting, no scratching, no gouging" :-)

Hath do you have any video so we can see how it fly's?
This comment not meaning towards you Hath... but lots of people post that their plane does this and that and no video etc. to show.
From what I read on these websites everybody who fly's is a TOC Champion.

The SD yak is the way to go. The fuse has round sides not flat and a pocket for the wings. Much better looking and flying and several schemes to chose from, Mine is 18 lbs w/Fine running DA 50, stock tubes and carbon gear. 2 years of hard 3D harrier landings and no mods or reparis.
