Default Dp 330l

Has anyone tried to fly one of these aircrafts with a 1.20 engine like DP said can fly it. I'm not into 3D flying, but I wondering if a 1.20 can pull it effectively.

Thanks!

Default DP with 1.20

Hi Scott,

From my own experiences with mine, with a Taurus 2.6 lightened to 15lbs, flight reports by other people, with gassers at 16lbs, YS.140 and OS 160 at 13.5-14lbs, and Saito 1.80 and Moki 2.10 at 14.5-14.8lbs, I would suspect that a good 1.20 would provide about scale performance, but not enough for serious vertical 3D maneuvers.

I would think it would have plenty of power for most pattern maneuvers and the plane would be in the 13 - 13.5 lb range which would give it an excellent wing loading, so in many maneuvers it would fly better than all the rest.

Default 330l

Hi Scott,
I have made the decision to dig a little deeper and go with a moki 2.1. I left a 140l on the shelf because of pull, pull, elevator or balance problem. Ys performance sayed that a 140l puts out 3hp and a 120 is 2.7. Moki puts out 4.95 Hp.
Good Luck with your decision!
Marty
