Re-propping my BCMA G-62
I built a A-W Extra 50cc and powered it with one of Adams G62 engines. The big thumper is a delight in an extremely overpowered way. I was running a Menz 24 x 10 wood prop and the BCMA easily pulled it however I was concerned with my ground clearance and in fact suffered a prop strike on a bouncy landing due to my dumb thumbs. So A re-prop was in order and I bolted up a Mezjik Carbon Fiber 22X 12 3 blade with a carbon spinner with the lightened back plate. Well this is like putting Nitrous Oxide on my little 260. It litterally jumps off the ground as I throttle up using about 15 feet of runaway before lift off. It will pull verticle at 1/3rd throttle and flat out accelerate straight up like a friggen Saturn 5 booster. Down lines are very cool with this prop as I can pull back to idle and the plane "dirty's up" very well and acts like it has an air brake. Landings are a little tricky at first requireing a bit of throttle to the edge of the asphalt then I just pull back and set down. I even did a power on touch down and then cut throttle with the main gear down and the tail up. It looked pretty cool but used a lot of runway.
All in all I think I found the perfect Prop for Adams' 62 and recommend it to anyone.
