I tried to order some servos and extensions from Servo City Monday night, but the "shopping cart" contents seemed to change randomly after trying to change item quantities. It was late, so I figured I'd try again the next day, but the sale had then ended. An email seeking some sort of consideration on thier part yeilded the following reply:

Hello,

We have forwarded the information to our web tech.

We apologize but the sale went so well we are out of most of the
items.

Thank you,
ServoCity.com

While they're "out of most of the items", the ones I wanted are still listed in stock. Oh well . . .

Maybe it's not an oh well, just call them like they just said to E-MO in the past post. I would.

Update

Servocity are making an effort to fulfill the important part of my order that was cancelled and I thank you for that. I definitely did not receive an email about stock shortage or an offer of higher priced substitutes. It will cost me a few more dollars to pay for receiviing but I can live with that. The key to me would have been communication which seemed to not happen in my case. Thanks for the effort now.

4*60 - we completely understand. We did our best to contact everyone but it does not always work out through emails or via phones. Most of us here are also deep into the hobby and purchase items online all the time. We try to offer the level of service that we would expect from others and then step it up a notch.

Ken and others: For those of you that missed the sale or had technical problems we are very sorry. If this was the case, please give us a call and we will be more than happy to work with you. We might not be able to offer the same deals but we will certainly do what we can on items that are still in stock. All that we ask is that you give us just a few days to get the current orders out to make sure that stock is correct. Thanks again

God!!! for Pete Sake some of you guys are such whiners. Worse than women!!! The sale is only a sale until the stock is depleted. If you did not get in quick enough, deal with it and read your email sooner. Better luck next time.
Kudos to Servo City for an excellent sale and and excellent service.

BTW I was to late to get in too, but I am not complaining.

Wha wha wha......I think the information age is too fast, it was nice to know that the company came on here and told what happened. I was certainly wondering what was up and in the long run saved them the time of calling to say what happened? It was my first order with that company so the norm was not certain.

I just want to know how you can fit over a grand in a 5 pound box?

Mine appears to be on the way, order completed in full. Wha wha wha. They would not have gotten my money if I didn't read it here first.

So goes the double edge sword.

Good thing I am here in the states or I might be taking cover from 4*60's wife. Hope I did not offend Mrs. 4*60 but just trying to get a point across.

We easily forget that just because something is on sale, it not our god given right to get as much as we want and get it shipped to our door in 24 hrs.

Have fun and get those birds in the air with all those new goodies!!!!!!!!!!!

20 5955TG servos would easily meet the criteria!

My order arrived today!!!

[ul][*] The 5955TG were packed in the standard little plastic box you see at the hobby store.[*] The HS55 were in the usual little cardboard boxes.[*] The 5945MG were in plastic bags, looks like everything is there. No little date code stickers on the 5945 like previous ones I have...don't know if that means anything.[*] The myriad of y-harnesses and extensions were all together in one plastic bag...all easily seperated and accounted for.[*] Oh, and a little bag of candy was also there!
[/u]

So, a great sale, good job guys!

Got my 5955's today, but all of my other 5955's (from other sources) had a little sticker with a version number on them. Does that mean something??? Received the candy too.

Interesteing. I have some 5955 from another source without the date code stickers. I had thought maybe they just stopped putting them on the newer stuff, but since the 5945 were discontinued a while ago, I expected those to still have them...which they didn't.

But I don't know that it means anything.

I got my servo's today. I looked and I looked....I could not find the candy[][][]
Gotta love those 5995's 5955's 5945's and will play with the HS-925MG for throttle
Operating Speed (6.0V): 0.08sec/60° at no load

I guess if I can't fly the candy, I don't really need it after all. My next 3 projects are lined up..........................
gotta love this hobby. Thanks for the heads up guys.

PS.. No date-code stickers or v stickers. There is a silver sticker on the box for some of them but they are more likely to be a vendor number.
It was on the5955's and the 5995's, and HS-65HB's but not the 5945's (in the bag)

The number I have is 07020218
