This is definitely much better than any and I mean any Aeroworks.

Also, what's your AUW?

How about these pics. That is the AeroWorks 85cc Yak on the bottom, AW 75cc Extra 260 in the middle and the Dietrich 75cc Extra on top. Yes the Dietrich has a lighter frame than my AW planes do. You can also see that the wing on the Dietrich is a little larger and the control surface is much larger than the AW planes. Granted I have not got the Dietrich flying yet. It sure looks promising on the bench.

There sure isn't much taper from wing cord to tip on the Dietrich. Very little taper usually adversely affects snaps. Still curious what you guys are coming up with for AUWs. Specs say 19 3/4lbs. That would be impressive if it's accurate.

RE: The ALL NEW Dietrich 75cc Extra 260
smarks,
It snaps better too IMHO, with canister on a DA85, 19.8lbs, with Pitts muffler on a ZDZ80 19.4lbs, with Pitts on a 3w80 19.6 and 19.9 with a canister on same motor. I am not bashing but isn't the AW 75cc (33% line) 2 to 6 lbs heavier?
Also cut back on the throw on the ailerons guys,I am running 35 degrees and it still is ballistic fast for the rolling moves and as I was working on the plane we cut back on the elevator (from 40 degrees to the low 30's) and it even got better (less barn door effect) and much more responsive in high alpha.

Nice. Those weights are great. I have an AW 260 75cc at 21.2 lbs with a DA85 on Pitts. So your 2-6 lbs estimate I would say is a little off. It would be more realistic to say 1-3 lbs heavier depending on setup. I am not bashing either, but I would like to see what the average guy is getting, rather than someone affiliated with the company.
sevans16, hcuellart - what are yours coming in at?
Regardless, looks like another good ARF choice.

I have an AW 75cc 260 with DA85 and pitts. It has an AUW at 20 Lbs 6Oz. I was suprized and excited!!
It flys awsome and lands like a trainer. Tons of power, almost ridiculus power, I love it.

RE: The ALL NEW Dietrich 75cc Extra 260
Mine is at 20.5 lbs. I am running an old BME 80 twin with regular mufflers, 7955´s all around except for the throttle which is a 5645 and PowerBox switches for the 3 X 2500mah lipos.
This weekend I had a little mishap as one of the rudder pull-pull cables just came off the grip. I thought this was going to happen sooner or later as the whole pull-pull assembly is from World Models and it has a metric screw that is prone to slipping off. I will change it to a better make...
Any recommendations?
Regards,
Homero

RE: The ALL NEW Dietrich 75cc Extra 260
Forgot to add I have already owned an 85cc Aeroworks and have flown 3 others that guys have at my flying field. While precticing low rolling harriers my old AW went down on dumbthumb... But I can say openly the Dietrich is a better plane all around. And I don´t know about other guys, but my plane does a really nice sound while rolling fast, I love it!!!

RE: The ALL NEW Dietrich 75cc Extra 260
Any more flight reports with the Da-85? I would like to know more about long term durability (about 50 flights) with the DA-85 vibrating this light aircraft.
Thanks
