Default Second Source for the Glass/Plastic Parts for the Mike Hurley Extra 300

I e-mailed Mike Hurley about the availability of his glass/plastic parts. As i'm sure that anyone who is building this airplane has run into trouble with Aeroglass. Mike wanted me to pass on this info to everyone. Stan's Fibertech will be making the parts for the Hurley Extra 300. The phone number is 909-352-4758. Mike said that Stan sent him a sample canopy and it looks like a good fit. I have already put in my order with Stan. He seem like a very knowlageable person. I also canceled my order with Aeroglass. I'm finally glad to see that this issue will be resolved.

You can get the whole package of parts from AeroXtreme, they are made by Stan and sold as a whole package by AeroXtreme http://www.aero-xtreme.com/ they say they will be shipping on April 8th.

I'm not sure how many they have shipped yet but mine is being built in the next week or two they have been taking and filling lots of orders, it will probably be a few more weeks before we get any flight reports but they have only improved upon an already awesome plane.

So you ordered one from them? Are you having them cover it as well? I've heard that a builder there Von Flowers I think his name is, isn't the most trustworthy guy, so I'm curious to see how this turns out.

Keep us updated when you get it, I'll be very interested to see how it turns out

Yes I am having them cover it also, these guys have been on the ball since day one. Emails are very rapid usually replies are sent within 30-60min from first email etc depending on the time of day. I will also be getting the 40% when they go into production in a couple weeks.

Default Stan's FiberTech

Wow, that is great news that Stan's is going to be making the glass and plastic for the Hurley. I have gotten several cowl and wheel pant sets from him and the quality is excellent. I am glad I waited to order the glass now. I will definitely order from Stan's.

Ken, definitely let us know how the first flights go if you get it in the air this weekend.
Good Luck, Travis
