I dont think any one is saying is a copy, just that its construction and hinge method are the same as other wild hare arfs. These things make me also think this plane is built in the same factory as those arfs but to my knowledge WH doesn't have a 40% yak so theres no way this can be a copy of their plane or vise versa. I also think these guys prob also make the BME/PAU arfs.

I like it keep keep the build going

doesn't matter whether or not the yak looks like extra, it is different sports plane, as a modeller, we only care about its performance, quality, and price, show us the video ASAP, can't wait![>:][>:]

hi guys & gals i have had a few more flights with the yak & the plane is really outstanding to say the least.
my mvvs116 has ignition problems so im trying to sort this problem out asap.I have another vid with a dead stick landing which i ment to do so i could test if she comes back when the fan stops (RISKY I NO BUT TESTING IS TESTING) .The last landing was a flame out so it tested me out lol.I hope to have the motor sorted asap so i can get some LOW & SLOW 3D done for a few vids this mvvs116 shaw does pull this 37pound plane arond very well

Not sure how it looks like a Wild Hare as Tom doesn't produce or import a Yak this large...

The construction doesn't appear to look much like the 41% WH Extra either...

If going by the color scheme, you might say it's an EF knockoff... But I'm nit going there...

It's the construction techniques.

hi guys this plane was built from CAD so as for copying we did not have any other planes to go of.There are a few places around the world that buy planes EG extream flight yak & others that will be copying or have copyed there planes,We at austars have looked into the design of planes where these are made which is a top leading arf building company & we came out with our on design. There are no other 42% yaks on the maket which are the same so to say they are copys is a bit harsh i think,
companys like WH EF PAU HEMPLE & so on started some where & we are doing the same.To have a product thats the same as another company is to easy so we set a goal to have our own design built.
hope this clears a few things up.the scheem on the wings are a copy from a fullsize yak in germany & the fuse is a inhouse design.yes the checks on the front do look like other companys but after alot of reserch asking modelers they said it looks cool which gave us the thumbs up to do the cowl like this.our 42% edge was a 100% in house design as you can see it does not resemble any other arf on the market we choose some thing diffrent & if another company copys it we dont mind it means it looks good
kind regards glen ure TEAM AUSTARS

All I know is that the construction I very similar to my Wildhare Extra. Same design for the wing tube/spar. Same type of cockpit. Same type of tank floor with the square holes. To me they look like they came from the same factory, which is a good thing. My Extra was built very good. If I was having planes built, it would be by this factory.

hi guys i finaly got the mvvs 116 sorted in my plane a bad igniton was the problem.
I had a 4 great fights today with it which make 9 flights all up but the first 5 were 5min with motor problems.
I am very happy how this plane flys the quality & strenth is great.I have done a few walls & bleanders to test these wings & they are holding up great which is great news for AUSTARS .I would just like to thank the team at AUSTARS for giving me the chance to fly this big bird.I now will be building there edge which is in my hanger now ready to start asap.
yes it could do with a tad more power but after flying a 36% with this motor i been spoiled with power lol tunned pipes maybe
the 1st vid was its 2nd flight today with a new ignition & its running very very rich so i had to land it & lean it of a tad.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NePvaH1kTC4
the 2nd vid is the 3rd flight with it leaner but still to rich i will lean it out tonight for tomorows flying.
a great day at the feild,
the photos are from the 4th flight wich was wicked but no vid[:'(]
