Help!! need a source for a round aluminum servo horn
I am building a 75cc aerobatic aircraft and I need a source for an aluminum servo horn.
The servo horn needs to be round so that I can attach a flat horn onto the top.
The servo I will be using is the Hitec 5955TG.
I have attached a drawing of the servo horn I need if it helps.
Thanks,
MR G

[link]http://www.nelsonhobby.com/cnc.html[/link] I've been using those for years and the design is still as effective as any I've seen.
Air Wild makes a rather thick wheel for one of their other products but it's a bit bulky.

Not sure what you are trying to do?
If you can't find what you are looking for here I suggest you try a more convential solution http://www.troybuiltmodels.com/servoarms.htm

As an example, Comp Arf products use an over sized phenolic arm that is attached to a servo wheel to control ailerons, rudder, and elevators. They can be rather large and have much more leverage than you would expect. In the past there have been problems with the size of the phenolics striiping the teeth off of plastic servo wheels, and nylon servo output shafts. The results were frequently disastrous. Depending on the weight of the plane and it's intended use, a 75cc sized plane might experience similar issues with plastic wheels.
It's a personal choice thing and I don't want to leverage anyone's selection. Each has to determine what will best fit their needs.

These get my vote: http://www.airwildhobbies.com/MoreIn...&level=2&id=20
and will be used on this:
I'm presently trying to determine all the hardware that will be necessary when I receive my Comp-ARF 2.3M Extra 330L that's due to arrive next Tuesday (02/19). I too was concerned with the plastic disk/phenolic servo arm combo.
I'm stoked, to say the least!

I've used the Airwild unihub before. It's pretty nice. I probably shouldn't be recommending the plastic servo wheel that Hitec supplies since I wouldn't use one myself.

I tried using the linked Air Wild Uni-Hubs for a dual rudder servo installation in a 2.6 meter Yak. It was much to limited in surface travels due to the ball links binding against the hub. The idea was great but the function fell a little short. Needless to say, I have an unused Uni-Hub set hanging on the wall as a decorator item.

The problem is that the plastic gears will strip out when using an attached phenolic horn to a round servo wheel.
I have searched and found a source for exectly what I want.
OTT, you should use this:

The price is quite good too!!!

The only problem I had with the Unihub is that the nut that held on the phenolic plate rubbed against the servo body. I had to use 2-56 blind nuts and counter sink the Unihub holes so the blind nut hubs could sit flush on the phenolic plate. Pain in the rear but the end result was very nice (for an Extreme Fight Yak rudder servo arm).

Mr. G,
I called Hitec up and they had them, i think they were the old HS81MG round horns before they went to the thinner, smaller lite one. I think they were like .69 cents ea, I also think http://www.servocity.com/html/hs-805_815bb_arms.html had some that work well too.
