RE: Recommend a good plane for a DA50
I've got 5955's on the elevator and JR8611's on rudder - ailerons. I thought about the 5985's but even on 6V they are less than the minimum recommended torque. I had the 8611's layin around and the 5955's were only $10 more than the 5985's at my LHS.

The Hitec 5955 TG is the comparative of the 8711 from JR. The Hitec is a little more cost effective. They are a great servo. Good luck.

Go with a Wildhare Sukhoi. Great flying plane. Sell the DA50 and pick up a 3mm TOC53, great engine. Tom at Wildhare is second to none when it comes to customer service.

I looked at that sukhoi and it really looks badass...but I like the EF Extra a bit more, someone at home is sellin a 300 rtf for an insane deal, I may pick that up then piece a plane together later on in the year for my DA, but if its sold I'll be piecing a plane together now, thanks again everyone for all the help.

There was an EF at the field and the owner was a very good friend of mine. The plane he flew was ef 50 size and he was flying it with a brillelli . The plane was an awesome flier but it was very fragile. Keep a close eye on glue joints. But it flew very well.

RE: Recommend a good plane for a DA50
The only thing I know is don't get the Hangar 9 extra 260. The worst plane i have ever flown with a dl50. It is better suited for either a zdz 40 or a brilleli 46gt. BTW,
the plane i recommend is a aeroworks extra 260. I have seen it fly and it is a beast in the air with a da/dl50. I have also been looking for a 50cc plane and with
all the research i've done the aeroworks would be the plane for me. Sure the extreme flight yak/extra flies nice and smooth, but if you are looking for a 3d monster,
get an Aeroworks!!!

BTW, it's a quick build, which means if you are a new builder to gas then it will be easier and faster than any build in it's class.
That's just my 2 cents.

DF: I am not sure why you would call that a 3D monster over the EF... the EF is much more stable in harriers and tracks better.
The AW out tumbles and rolls faster and tracks well... but since I have flown both a lot I can tell you there isn't much the EF wont do over the AW.

I know not go get the Hangar 9 27% 260, I had one and I have a Moki 1.8 sitting in my garage which will probably go on another one in the future....How does the Hangar 9 Carden Yak compare? I ask because I know someone who can get the ARF new for $575 and do really well on the servos....
BTW- I Was thinking to do Hitec 5955's on rudder/elevators and 5985's on ailerons? Would that work?

I hear it flies well.. can't really compare since I haven't flown one.
No sense saving some money on 5985s.. might as well get 5955s all around they won't develop slop and you can use them in larger planes later.
