Default sd python maiden

I finally got to maiden my TT TOC pitts m12 50cc yesterday. what a beaut! I got it from a fellow here at rcu marketplace. It was quite fun to put together with no manal or anything. I's a really well made plane though. the bottom wing has two wingtubes. it does have a cannister tunnell, cowl ring w/ no visible fasteners, flying wires, and my favorite thing, a big fat round front! ( some pythons have the skinny little nose like AW)

I've got hitec 5985's on the ailerons & elevators, and a 5955 on rudder, DA 50 in the nose, and 2 tbm 2200 lipos on mpi miracle switches for power. now to the flight report....

a few flips on the prop and a slight richening of the low speed needle had the DA 50 running smooth I taxied onto the strechy fabric runway at maryville TN made my turnaround and stop, advance the throttle and YES! it climbed out so pretty, three or four cxlicks of right aileron and two or three down elevator and there she was flying so stright and wow this is a slow flyer. lets go around our first turn , wow she drops some elevation in the turn, not too bad though, lets try a slow roll. mm hmm very axial, how bout a 4 point roll, knife edge rolls a little to the opposite, probobly cause its nose heavy. man this thing is a blast to fly!!! few more gentle manouvers and... whew maiden went great! think I'll bring her in and double check everything before I attempt any 3d. landing is so slow and pretty, I'm psyched!

Now that I've stopped shaking lets try it again! well how bout a harrier? wow very litle wing rock. not quite enough elevator throw, probobly nose heavy condition. hovering up 1 mistake high, man, solid as a rock. rolling harrier well Its taking all the input I have to keep the nose up. I think I need more throws or a more aft cg. Lets try a blender,,, Up up up, this plane rockets upward. blender looked really good and came out of the inverted flatspin nicely. general concensus... this is one awesome plane! I like it when people come and take pictures of my plane. biplanes are always cool!

I hope more people get into these planes cause they really are nice, and after I dial in some mixing and get my cg right it's gonna be this summers plane of choice for me. Happy flying!

Nice. I got a thing for bipes. That will probably be my next ARF. I've had a Cap 232, Edge 540, Yak 54, and Extra 300. Time for another wing.

I think you will like this one, although it's not quite as nice as the quique python 100. That one is my all time favorite.

If I were gonna do this one again I would get the kevlar wires from dons hobby and get some better turnbuckle type wire rigging. the wires they give you with the kit is barely long enough to double loop the crimps
