RE: Looking for Good Throttle Servo
For accuracy and performance with gassers I never use snaked throttle controls. I also do not mount my servos close to the engine as interference can result. I use carbon fiber rods, ball links and digital servos to control the throttle. This is straight shot installation. Accurate & responsive throttle control makes a difference. You can use a cheap plastic geared servo for this.

RE: Looking for Good Throttle Servo
Use what ever servo you think is good enough for your ailerons, elevators or rudder. It will also be good enough for you throttle. I use the throttle as much as I do any other control so why would I want a cheap servo there. Straight run linkage, carbon fiber and ball links both ends about 6 inches from the engine.

RE: Looking for Good Throttle Servo
The Hitec 7965 makes an excellent throttle servo. I've run the 5625's with good success but they are not as precise as the 7965. If you're going to be putting your plane on the deck 3D'ing, It's worth getting a highend servo. A throttle servo doesn't need to have much torque, but it needs to be able to stand up to the vibration.
