Default Kangke Laser 2000 or Great Planes Patty Extra 300

I have the DA50 engine and am deciding between either the Kangke USA Laser 2000 or the Great Planes Patty Wagstaff Extra 300S. Both 1/4 scale planes. Is the Laser 2000 a much better plane for the extra $100.

I just received the LAZER 2000. The kit is outstanding! As well as all of KANGKE arf line. I also own and fly the TEXAS HURRICANE another Great airplane. From what I have read , and from the questions I have asked. I chose the LAZER. I did considered the PATTY. But in the the end I wanted the biggest airplane I could fly with a 50cc type motor for the money! It's a real hard decision too make. Spending $400 to $500 dollars for a kit takes some thought. I found this kit for $450 with shipping included. last one they had! It's really up to you. Just pick the plane that fits your flying needs. Mine was a Smooth plane with some 3d capabilities at a reasonable price. Good Luck with your choice.

Default Laser 2000

I picked up the Laser a couple weeks ago from a member here on RCU. It's the best looking ARF I have ever seen...absolutely beautiful. Comes with good hardware and quality cowl and wheel pants. Its a little larger than the Extra. Would be an outstanding match with your DA-50. Chief Aircraft has them for $449 right now.

The Laser 2000 is my pick. I wish it came in RED! I'd buy 2 and put one away! GET IT!

I have a 3w 42 with 3 gallons of fuel and turning a 3w prop 22X8 at 6300 rpm. The engine is getting stronger with time, will this number be enough for the laser 2000 or should I buy the Texas Hurricane, that I also hear is a great plane from Kangke?

Thanks for the advise. That was the same thing I said about the color - whish I could get one in red. $455 is a pretty good deal. I heard that the GP Extra has an airfoil on the tail feathers and the Kenge Laser 2000 doesn't, does this make a difference. Out of the two planes which one looks better when it is built. Also I heard that the GP Extra comes with a Aluminum Spinner but does this spinner work on the DA50.
