RE: WM 1/3rd P-56 Paulistinha
I could get 15 min or more on my DA50 using a 22 oz tank, so I was kinda surprised as well at how fast the 85 gulps it down. Once I get a few more flights on it and play with throttle management, will find the sweet spots then maybe can pull a few more minutes out of it.

I also bought 1 month before this monster.
I just assembled quickly that I could see how it looks
I used the DLE engine 55cc, I think that was good enough for the "scale" fly
I attach some pictures...
first look in the open box
friend of the wing
me in the fuselage
my small transport car Renault Clio with P-56
DLE 55ccm
Thats all
Sorry about my english..

Sweet!!! I won't have been the only one to get one together! The '55 should be fine. As mentioned in my thread, I used the DA85, and frankly it was a bit of overkill. Additionally you can use standoffs and avoid the whole mess of having to build a box for the motor. Couldn't do that with the '85. Even though I've sold mine, still remember how it went together, if run across something can't figure out drop a note here and will see if I can assist. For the most part its going to go together pretty quick for you.

I'm interested in how to work out these links??
I heard that apparently like to burst[] Is this true?
However, the first thing I did, I replaced the wheels for the scale 1 / 3 Piper cub balloon wheels[8D]

I've used those type of control horns on a variety of 3D aircraft, and I've never had one break. Not sayin it can't happen, I've just never seen it or experienced it.

Thank you!
Thank you!
my experience says that YES there are some general suggestions about the lack of quality of specific products,
but in order to make good decisions you must count on your personal feelings and observation.....
In the past i have replaced lots of ARF supplied hardware, with DuBro ones.....No failures so far!

@Radical departure...as I read your post that your engine is very gluttony..
what size is your tank?
I had the Extra 260 and this engine(DLE 55) also think that it is now placed on the P-56 and 500cc size tank, I can fly cca.30 minutes
so that it seems to me that this engine is as small consumer

I was using a 32 oz. tank. For the DA85 it really needed around 50oz or so. With the setup you'll be using, you should get some decent flight times. The '85 was too much engine.. if I did it over I'd have put a DA60 on it.

Yesterday was just an experiment how that fits up engine and today I got the spacers for the engine and fit it at 2 at night..
I put the spacers on anti-vibration rubbers,
I put the electronics inside the fire wall from the hot air from the exhaust
I look like this at 2at night in the cockpit []
Thats all for tonight.........good night

Ha!!!! I have a pic with my head in cabin too! Your build is looking
good... did same thing, put ignition electronics in the space behind
the firewall. Worked well, did have to make a small opening in bottom
for plug wire, no problems.

RE: WM 1/3rd P-56 Paulistinha
That they are. They are also lined with some type of plastic sleeve. I myself didnt have a problem with it, the struts are very heavy duty, and its bolted to the fuse on the inside as well. I had nothing but slow scale flight in mind for my build, no loops or such. I've Extras for that stuff, so I wasn't worried about snappng a wing off. What I did NOT like about them is that you had to get wings mounted nice and snug, measure out x distances on top of wing, then drill into the tube from the top of the wing to accept bolts from the top of the wing. How long before that starts stripping out? They suggested leaving one of the tubes bolted into the wing, to minimize wear on the bolt threads, but it also made it a long set of wings longer when transporting..

I have one, As a matter of fact this is the Third one, The first one, I forgot to tighten the bottom bolt on the wing strut, Wing folded back, KABOOM! The second one, well we still do not know what happened. complete Rx loss. again KABOOM.
I LOVE this plane ! I have a DLE-111 in it and I think the thing would fly with a 1.20 4 stroke. I split the Cowl, trimmed out for the jugs and screwed it together. Looks great with the two jugs sticking out.
This plane will knife edge with the best of them. Hovers all day long at 1/4 throttle, flat spins, both upright and inverted. Snaps are a hoot.
I have been flying 40% and larger 3-D planes for a while but I find the Paul to be relaxing BUT I can cut the mustard when I want.
The ONLY problem I have had is the wing strut bolts, No mater how tight you get them nor what thread lock, Blue or Red, they want to back out about every third week.
You cannot go wrong buying this plane.

Agreed.. the wing strut bolts were the only thing I really had to keep an eye on.. would find them backing out as well. I bet it would fly with a 1.20, only thing is you'd have to plant some weight up front.. 'cause that tail is heavy!

RE: WM 1/3rd P-56 Paulistinha
Well , Pavlina has almost been completed ..
Today I got the tank 1 liter and servos, everything is already built, and now I have the test if the tank holds, and that the start engine ..Transmitter what extent is filled, right now will be filled in the battery for ignition,. So far it is up original exhaust but ordered flex extension . unfortunately because there seemed the carcass, because the hull itself is not at least somewhat place.Be quiet and a little stronger
In our club we have huge problems with noise, because the airport is situated close to town and we all have stewed on aircraft resonant exhausts[&o]

The engine has "caught fire" with no problem, runs nice, well not a lot of vibration.
I have to replace the valve on the tank, because we
leaving gasoline [&o]
Then I hope to have good weather with as little wind to maiden flight
