Default dle 55 engine

Hi I am new to this website. Has anyone installed a DLE55 on a tf P-47 giant scale? It calls for a isolation plate, but I could not find one. The plans call for a us 41 engine and I used the specs to build my own isolation mount. I also had to beef up the firewall to accommodate the 55. After doing that the prop extends a 1/4" further than what the plans call for on the cowling. Will this affect the performance when the plane is in flight? Thanks, Tim

You mean the thrust washer is a 1/4 in. farther from the firewall? that will not be a problem

It will fly fine. It will drive you nuts every time you look at it on the ground and atleast once per flying session someone will say something smart alec about it
