ECOMRC first look out of the box!
Hi everyone, I'd like to share a couple pictures of the ECOMRC CESSNA 195 107" Wingspan right out of the box!
First impressions:
-extremely light weight
-wood construction in the fuselage looks great
-all pieces dry fit together perfectly!
We will be taking some more pictures and video tomorrow so stay tuned!

The PA-25 Pawnee looks suspiciously similar to the one from World Models, especially the color scheme and registration numbers.
I have one of them on the bench right now.

Wow, does share some similarities! Photo from WM, and other pic TBM specs... looks like the TBM plane is a bit smaller tho...

RE: ECOMRC first look out of the box!
Hi Derek, I just sent this reply to your email but thought I'd post it here so others can see as well:
I'm not sure if that engine would fit but can tell you the cowl dimensions are pretty big: http://www.troybuiltmodels.com/ns/in...ecomcowls.html This link shows the cowl dimensions for all ECOMRC planes so far. Measurements are taken from where most engines would be sitting and are conservative.
Judging be your the total width of the engine is 232 millimeters (9.13385827 inches) and our cowl measurement is 9". Here is a video of Gene showing different engine options in the cowl: http://youtu.be/_dJFJSag30U?t=2m59s he also makes mention that the diameter of the cowl is 11" so it's possible your engine would fit just fine before the cowl tapers down to 9".
Please give [email protected] an email if you'd like to know more!

RE: ECOMRC first look out of the box!
Hi guys I have just about finished Putting together the ecomrc Pawnee and so far I'm pretty happy with model. I did make a
few changes though, such as fitting servos inside each stab half replacing the stock tailwheel with a Dubro unit adding tugging wires to the tail and changing the control horn setup completely for all surfaces. With a magnum 160 4-stroke twin fitted the model balances perfectly without lead! And had turned out looking neater than the original setup.
I have flown a mates ecomrc Wilga with an OS 33GT and has proven to be a great combo towing glider 3.5 meters easily!
I'm hoping to maiden my Pawnee shortly.
