Greg,
Track down a guy named Rick Boyer. I don't have any contact info but he's competed the last couple of years at Top Gun.

Hope this helps,
paul

I have a set of plans - with all the glass and struts. No canopy ... Have talked with Rick a few times.. he seems to have no parts right now. Seems the builders are few and far between these days. Rick owns the rightsd to the kit these days I believe. Nice guy!

I have another full kit - building that one!

Am willing to sell the builders version - but I don't see teh ribs anywhere. All the other formers are shown. I plan to trace the other ribs as the kit gets built. Not sure on shipping to Austrailia??

Out of town until after Easter ....

Man I just broke the top wing of my Noll Eagle in half yesterday. Righte wheel fell off axle at take-off speed. Cartwheeled, but got away (mainly) with just a snapped in 2 top wing. I can have it fixed in a week, but now I have to find graphics.....Love the plane tho.

As well does anybody know if Rick Boyer is still doing these Eagles. I have the cowl / pants / plans for the Noll Eagle and from what I have read everyone seems to be leading towards the fact the Rick is not supporting the plane?

Is this true?
I build full scale stuff. Pitts / Laser Z's / Ultimate Biplanes but still love the model world and would love to assist in helping builders but only if Rick is willing to allow or agree

Thoughts? Info?

Look forward to hearing feedback on this

please email me at [email protected] and as well reply to thread here... Still looking for a canopy...

Also we do the Strickland plans / cowls for the 40% Laser 200 in other threads

Thanks.. been lots of emails saying they are interested in hearing for a response as to the Eagle!
I believe someone has an email out to him in request as to if he is still involved or not.

I believe I have found a canopy source and going to order one and see how it looks in scale. I have access to a full scale eagle as well and will compare

Just want to assist in the design if possible and help those that would like to build an Eagle. I am looking to do a full scale possibly as well and a model would look great done up right next to it. Thanks all.. gonna wait thought o get an official answer from Rick B

Good luck Devon on your build /// Grover will be a big help in starting you off . I also have a set of the plans which don't show any rib templates , but u can use side view. I mounted a 3-w 100 on my build which had a unlimited vertical built to plans with monakote. However I would build cabane struts like that of Bob Dively or weld like full scale and bolt strait to bulkheads. I found that to be a weak spot if you are planning to pull GGGGs and 3 D ! Just my opinion / I did hear of top wing failure several times/ before you cover be sure to install hard maple blocks and steel attachments as the fullscale with 100 test leader etc. so airframe can take forces from big motors! My 38% Knoll came out 28 lbs and no lead was needed for cg. I used a Bob Dively two place canopy which was cut down a couple inches / not scale but looks nice ! hope this helps Good Luck!

Billy thanks for all the info!!! Good for other builders as well

The plans I have have all info

1- fuselage assy
2- wing assy
3- tail group assy
4- layout templates of all parts
5- layout in full scale of the feather scheme pattern for paint or vinyl

I have pants to make molds of if required and a cowl

I have tried to contact Rick Boyer per above contact info supplied but bounced back??

I just want to help people out if they want to build the plane thats all but according to Rick he owns rights from Frank Noll { the designer }

I have had feelers out for Rick for nearly a year now including a PM here. I see someone signed on under his profile in January. But to date no reply, so either he is no longer interested or something else is logging in.

Yes i haven't seen him on here or any other forums for ages .He will not answer my emails as well
So Devon it looks like he is no longer interested I would just go a head and make them .
If he doesn't like it you can always stop selling them

I see people selling 1/3 scale plans on ebay as well from time to time.. are these Noll plans?
I am in the process of doing molds for a DR-107 One Design { full scale } then I will be working on preparing the cowl I have to make a nice plug for the Eagle as well as the pants

I tried contacting Rick from the email sent to me above but with no luck.. not deliverable...

K Gonna just bluntly ask because I don't keep up with the whos who of the model world... Is Frank Noll still out there? The original designer of these plans...

Frank had a company called Eagle Aviation.....I believe. Side topic.. will maybe do a post else where.. Anyone have a set of his DR-107 plans as well?
