I have only one experience with 30 cc engines (DLE30) and have been very impressed with it. Bought it from ValleyViewRC.com

In my experience, the most expensive engines I've purchased were the really cheap ones that never ran right, or at all. I have had good luck with DLE, Zenoah, and Valley View. The least expensive in the 20cc class has been the Valley View 20.

You usually get what you pay for. The cheaper it is, the more likely it will be less satisfactory. That being said, you could get a cheap one that runs well just as you might get an expensive one that runs poorly. It's all a crap shoot. My best advice is to buy an engine from someone who has a good record for customer service if needed.

My DLE 30 is getting sweeter and sweeter. There are a bunch at our field. I haven't seen the OS33 to compare it to for $135 more.

Check Hobby King, they have some good (and bad engines; check the comments). If you don't mind BAD after sales service you'll be OK.

Cheers, V.

I think the DLE 30 gives you pretty good bang for the buck ..I have sure been happy with mine . They have lots of power , they are light , and they are easy to tune and run great . Plus they are easy on gas ..

Dollar for dollar you can't beat the engines that DLE make. Check out the DLE-35RA over the DLE-30, it has some nice upgrades that may appeal to you. All DLE engines should have their reed blocks removed and resealed for better/longer performance. There are good links that show how it's done...

+1 on Dle.

Either the 30 or 35re dependant upon installation requirements.

Both are very user friendly (perhaps not quite so for the earlier 30cc side induction) and I have found the 35 comparable to big glows power wise....amazing...

bang for for buck hard to go wrong really - but buy from a reputable dealer.

happy landings.
