I have not flown mine yet or even test run the Engine, I installed by Stabilizer support wires without any brass tube re-enforcements, have people had the wires cutting through the wood?

Carlos,
Nice Gee Bee there...I live near Granville, MA where the Granville brothers built them in the 1920's. There's an R2 in the NE Air Museum near me at BDL airport. I have a micro Gee Bee R2 and an Adrian Page 60 sized kit-built R2 with a Surpass .91. I'll get a giant R2 some day...
I haven't flown my Citabria or even run the DLE 35 yet, but soon. It's ready to go and the weather is getting much better here in sunny Connecticut. I'm in the process of buying a larger vehicle to transport the Citabria 'cause it won't fit in my Honda Accord.

Citabria smoke system
Here is a video of me testing my Citabria's smoke system. Equipment includes a DLE 35ra with a Bennett smoke muffler, Sullivan smoke pump running on a 2s 350 mah lipo and burning SuperDri smoke oil.

Let us know when you fly your Citabria for the first time, a tip for you is to keep power all the way to the runway, at least some till you are about to touchdown because with flaps she is a drag to move, especially with a head wind, she will slow down fast, I know also get her going at half throttle on the TO run to help her going straight on the runway.
Thanks, I love my Gee Bee Y Senior.

I've run mine without the wing around three times for a short time only, yes the wing helps to reduce the vibrations specially during idle, I run mine at the field for the first time with the wing on for about a tank then some adjustments then up she went, landed some more adjustments then up she went again landed after about ten minutes, minor adjustments to the carburetor then up she went for the third time.
I was very happy with the adjustments at the end of the third flight, I have done very small adjustments only after 20 flights or so.
Happy flying.

As recommended by the more knowledgeable members, make sure the engine is rich on the top end but not too rich and lean but not to lean on the low end, most of us adjust too lean, adjust the gap on the spark plug to .025, that gap will help with the mid range.

Both are excellent products, I used the ultra copper one, discard the gasket and put some of it on the screws threads.
If the muffler becomes loose after a flight then the engine is not getting enough air through, the vent opening is too small, make it bigger or it is too lean on the top end.

I had a chance to fly my Citabria today, few flights many landings, no flaps and with flaps landings, keep power all the way to touchdown, turning a 20X8 prop, getting 6900 rpms, I also flew my big Gee Bee, very different birds.
All in all a good afternoon, no new mods or changes to report.
