Default I won

Today was our clubs 30th anniversary Giant Scale fun fly, 117 registered pilots lots of good flying food and fun, and of course the prizes oh the wonderful prizes, now why would I be so enthusiastic? I won A Precision Cut Kits 1/3rd scale Fokker D-VIII, I know nothing of this kit builder and am hoping someone here can give me some feed back.
Thanks
Dwayne

I don't honestly know that kit, but wow that is a big unique kit to give as a prize.. Pretty awesome that you won it. I have never seen a DVIII fly in person and I am a bit of a WW1 fan. Thats a monster of a kit !

When you build it be sure to post pics !

PCK is basically a kit cutter, although they do have a line of kits. Who is the designer of the DVIII ?

Did the plans come with the kit ?

One must wonder how many you REALLY have....but Tom, don't go counting them without a computer in order to keep away any math errors (like ADDING, but not counting).

My friend once decided to make a database of his hotwheel collection, he had so many he didn't know. When him and his very understanding girlfriend got done all I recall was that the number was over 12,000

So I hope Tom can't top that number !

According to the website, the kit you won is based on plans from Ron Weiss. 110" wingspan. That's a lotta plane.

Thanks for the replies
Man dats a lot of Hot wheels...lol
Carl Grover, yes it is and as luck would have it not only does someone in our club have this kit it's also mostly framed up and I've been invited over to take as many pics as I want, how about that!!! Then on top of this a club member also has an old but in very good condition Quadra 52 converted to electronic ignition for a very good price! Life is good.
Anyway all, this is a big kit and I've not built anything remotely close to this but after talking with my friend who will help when I need it I'm confident I can do it, it will be a very slow process so I'm guessing a couple years here, I want to do it right, when I get started I'll start a new thread.
Thanks again
Dwayne

I'm happy to hear that you intend to build the kit. Having a friend, who is an experienced builder, should make the process go smoothly.

As you say, the build will take some time. Enjoy your time in the shop !

Here are a few pics of my Balsa USA DVIII
