Default 50% GeeBee R2 powered by VALACH 420 radial

Hey guys,
perhaps some of you will know me from the CARF GeeBee building thread.
My name is Hannes Lutzenberger, 37 years old and from Germany.

The latest project in our shop is a 50% R2 "Delmar Benjamin" replica!
We used a Hostetler plan, scaled it to 50%, did some modifications to the outline and changed the profile to the original M6:

If you guys are interrested, we will post some updates from time to time!

You also can follow the project on Facebook:

https://www.facebook.com/GeeBeeR2

Best wishes all the way from Germany,
Hannes

It is funny how the models are made with more precision than the original full sized one.

Of course, itīs always easier to copy something thatīs already done And modelers work with a bigger group of people, on a higher budget and no deadline

The engine arrived, itīs a 420 VALACH Radial
Aerobertics.be Valach VM R5-420

Because of the small diameter of the engine, we will use a 9 cyl. dummy radial:
