I used metal primer, afterwards yellow DHL paint a company made for me in a spray can, not 2K

When do you plan the maiden?

And this time I am jelaous. How is it that you are progressing so fast. I am not able to combine that much time with model making and my job unfortunately.

Maiden, I hope to do it next month but it depends on the weather, It will be raining for the rest of this year and for next year, we have to wait and see what we get😂
I even could't fly for 2 months because of the rain..

I normally do not start a tread but because of the bad weather i thought to give it a go.
So, many things were already finished before I started this tread.

Here's a photo of a inside view of the D-sub connection. I still need to secure the screws with a little ZAP because the vibrations of the motor definitely will cause some problems and we do not need that!.

This week I finished most of the Wilga, wings, doors, decalls.
I also added the fuel pump but the motor doesn't turn good for the moment,
I got some information from you guys how to use the pump, thanks for that, and will try again this weekend.

Hi Carlo,

What is the overall weight you have reached without the fuel?

I can see that your small slot part over the fuselage is fixed to the fuse. Did you make mounting elements on your own? In the kit it is designed to be just inserter in between the wing slots using the supplied dowels.

The weight without fuel is about 18.4kg

I do not understand your other question, do you have a photo?

There are 8 glass fiber elements for mounting the slots supplied. Each wing slot is mounted with 4 of them and the central slot over the fron window goes only with dowels to each wing slot, it is kept loose during transport so I wos wondering if you made another 2 elements for mounting it?

I didn't change the dowels but made made new nuts, a little wider and knurled.

What kind of prop are you swinging on the UMS150?

I did not yet test it but I have SEP 30x10 Wilga type propeller to be used with this engine. We'll see how it works within 2-3 months.

Hey hallo Carlo,

Dat is al snel een jaar of 14 terug dat jij bij mij thuis in Zieuwent de Rascal kwam bekijken en ophalen.

De tijd vliegt, maar wat een puur toeval dat ik met het speuren naar Tomahawk Wilga builds, foto;s tegenkwam van een gele DHL-Wilga en daarbij ineens, zomaar op de achtergrond "mijn" Rascal herkende. Gaaf te zien dat die nog in goeie staat verkeert en blijkbaar nog steeds zo mooi en chill vliegt, als dat ik toentertijd ervaren had. Leuk !

Wat de Wilga betreft . .. met 9 maanden levertijd heb ik "uiteindelijk" afgelopen vrijdag deze bij Jürgen van Tomahawk in Altendorf kunnen ophalen. DIt is de 3,7mtr uitvoering die ik in de kleur wit besteld had, de basis voor mijn design.

Naast Savox servo's, Jeti RSat2 ontvanger, uniLight verlichting en uniLight winch en Powerbox Mercurey SR2 met iGyro en GPS, komt er een Valach/Fiala 250cc R5 voor.
Het is nog een heel project, met wat ik nog op de bouwtafel heb zal de Wilga pas volgend jaar ingezet kunnen worden.

Dag Rik,

Inderdaad al een tijdje geleden, de Raskal doet het nog steeds, ik heb wel de motor vervangen door een nieuwe versie + een 2-blad prop gebruikt om meer trekkracht te hebben.
Wilga was voor mij ook een lange levertijd, mijn Wilga is vliegklaar maar ik wacht op betere weersomstandigheden om de kist in te vliegen. De weergoden zijn ons tegenwoordig niet goed gezind...
Verder heb ik nog een Stick gebouwd van 3m met een +DA-100, een FW-190 van 2.3m met een Saito FG90-R3.
Ik ben ook in de zweefwereld in gedoken, zo vlieg ik zeer veel met mijn DLG, snel opbouwen en heel leuk om mee te vliegen.
In onze vliegclub zijn we ook bezig een groot zweeftoestel (4.5m) zelf te maken. In de komende weken ga ik de mallen van de vleugels frezen. Dit project zal waarschijnlijk iets voor volgend jaar zijn.
Kortom, we kunnen ons goed bezig houden.

Zelf heb ik ook het e.e.a. in de vloot vliegklaar, warbirds, zwevers. Met nog wel wat "projectjes" om te bouwen.
Wie weet een idee om eens een keer jullie kant op te komen en bij jullie vereniging een weekend mee te vliegen....
