Default carbon fiber or aluminum for wing tube?

I have a 1/4 scale GP RV-4 that weighs about 10-1/2 lbs with a 7/8" wing tube. I have ordered a carbon wing tube from Troybuilt models to repace the heavy aluminum stock tube. The concern I have is that the carbon tube is only .035 wall, were the stock tube is around .0625 wall. Will the Carbon unit be strong enough?

Default RE: carbon fiber or aluminum for wing tube?

I have read that the CF tubes are can handle about 3 times the load as the alum. ones. Whereas the alum will bend at first when the loads are exceeded the CF will take it until it breaks. (about 3X)

All of my alum. wing tubes are replaced with CF and the wall thickness is typically much less. (29-33% planes)

The guys at TBM sell quality stuff so it should be good.
