Hi to all
I need some help please,I'm buying a " Hangar 9 Piper J-3 Cub 1/4 Scale " and I have some JR servos "ds589 " Weight: 42gm ,Torque: 5.2 kg.cm ,Speed 0.19 sec/60 degrees ,Gears Carbonite,Ballrace 1 .
can someone tell me if this servos will be good for this plane or I need something better?

Good day mate! I did some searching on the net and could only find AU or UK sites with this servo. I am a futaba man. They do not seem like 1/4 scale servos to me. I had a time converting to oz of torque and not sure i did it right, but i would say no they would not be satisfactory for the long term life and safety of your 1.4 scale model.

I was thinking the same but could not find nothing to help me,I going to get some hitec high torke servos "645 mg "for 6 v batteries I think this will do the job

Hi Mercinary2u--thats quite a screen name. I just built the Sig 1/4 scale cub shown in my Avatar and used 645MG on 6.0v on airelons, pull/pull rudder and elevator. I have no complaints. Not the fastest servo in the world, but lots of torque. And...it's just a Cub.

....my opinion. HS 645 is a good choice
