Don's B17 is not built on a jig.
The fuselage is built as a half shell.

Get a long plank that's straight. Screw an angle iron underneath it if there's a bow in it.

Lay the plans down on the plank.

- Start by pinning down the top and bottom 1/2 x 1/8 crutch on the plans
- Next, start adding in half sections of the formers, and the 1/8 ply wing saddle
- remember to shim up the fin 1/8 inch to maintain centerline
- 1/8 strip plank

When the left half is completely built, remove it from the building surface, then, , ,
- Add the right side formers directly against the left side (half shell)
- strip plank.

Hi Mike thank you for your reply i orderd the plans through precision cut and will recive them this week. I thought that the fusealarge would be drawn as a whole and not a half more like the wing span plans.
