I am in the planning stages to design and build my first large (81") gas sport plane. I have never built a two piece wing before, so I have no experience to draw from.
Can anyone provide me with links and/or articles that explain how to construct a two piece wing setup for large planes.

Don,t re-invent the wheel, look at what others have used and proceed from there, many birds that size use tubes.........GOOD LUCK!

My intent was to use a wing tube system. What I'm getting at is, making a no dihedral wing with a center joint, that is joined with wing tubes and then bolted to the fuse such as a one piece wing would. The two pieces are to make it easier to transport. 81 inches is just a bit long for my truck.

OK.... look at the wings that mount into a center section that bolts to the fuse as per a one piece but..... the outer wing panels, using a tube, slide onto this center piece. (three piece wing) a little much but it gets you were you want to be.
