RE: Top Flight DC-3
Typical TF build. Just take your time. Mine is E-powered, so just a bit more head scratching.. Set your expectations low on the retracts though. They are designed for this model, but the construction of the retracts leads a lot to be desired. I did a lot of lightening, and using Power 32's which is plenty of power. My AUW is 9.5 lbs.

I have the kit, but haven't started to build it yet.
Aerofly0610, are you building for glow or electric?

I am just finishing the top flight DC-3 , I have two Saito 40's on it, the build took a year & a half, ( I walked past it alot). The most trouble I had with it was the covering, it is like trying to cover a big sausage.
There are a few wrinkles, but the panel lines I drew on help hide the flubs. I plan to maiden it this spring

Nice job on your DC-3, it looks great. What kind of covering did you use?
I just put the first flight on mine a few weeks back before the snow hit. It was slightly harder to fly than a cub once it was in the air. Landing it is a bit tricky. But overall it flew just great.
My advice for your maiden is to remember to top off your fuel tanks after getting the engines tuned. I did not and it landed running on fumes.
Let me know how your maiden flight turns out.
