My daughter's basement flooded and many of the kit boxes I had stored there got soaked. Got the wood and plans dried out, but the boxes didn't make it. Now no real place to store kits in. You might want to check mailing services/stores. They might have or can make boxes and mailing tubes can store long pieces and plans.

Watch the wood. Balsa is funny stuff - it might wait a week or so and then decide to warp.
