I have the fuse covered.....getting ready to cover the wings. I'll post some updated pics in the morning.....

Still working on paint for the cowl and doors.....interior and details still to go. Surfaces are glued in, servos in for the tail... still have to hook up pushrods.
Landing gear is done. I'm just about ready to move onto the wings.

Just got home with my 206 after a 3 hour drive I have got a lot of work to do but looking foward to it I would post some pictures but can't figure out how to can any one tell me how to post picture

she will be sweet, I am partial to the 206. As a kid some 40 yrs ago, we used to fly from ne Missouri to southern Louisiana in my dad's.

Update.....It has been a while, so I figured I'd post where I'm at....
The wings are covered and painting is done, except for the cowl. I've been working on it getting it ready for paint...almost there.

So, the 206 to my knowledge does not have the corrugation on the tail surfaces, but it does on the ailerons and flaps. I've tried to think of an easy way to do this short of purchasing and gluing the plastic extrusions (plastrux?) on.....which would be tedious and add up cost wise.

I do have access to vacuum forming and 3d printing at my work, so I think I'm going to make a mold and form some skins to attach to the aileron/flaps (over the covering). The plan is to scuff the monokote and glue the skins on. I'll then lightly sand and paint. If it doesn't work, I can just rip it off and go back to another method. I'll post some pics of this this week and let you know how it goes. I did print some antenna bases shown below...the antenna themselves are just dowels plugged in. These are not attached yet....just sitting in place.

Thanks for sharing that info.....it let me know not to use CA. What did you use for bonding, and did you bond directly to the wood?

I sealed the wood with Minwax Polyurethane, and then sprayed the control surfaces and corrugations with 3M spray adhesive to adhere them.

Be careful, as the spray adhesive's solvents are strong, and will attack the styrene if applied too heavily. I didn't find it to be a huge problem, but I did have a few small blisters to repair.

My only frustration with this so far is the weight it adds. I formed the panels out of APET (.020") as it was the thinnest material we had in stock. Doing this procedure top and bottom of flaps and ailerons will add a hair over half a pound to the project. It just adds so much to the look though.

Your corrugation looks great.

As you say, they do add weight. I'm not going to worry about it, as I feel the look is worth the penalty in weight.

Got all the pieces cut and glued using the 3M77 spray. I think they came out pretty good.
All they need now is a little paint and hinges glued.

Got a bit more done this weekend....cosmetic work is nearly done. All the hinges are glued in, so now it is on to getting the servos hooked up and moving.
Once the guts are in and working, I'll finish up with the windows.
I ordered a Biela semi-scale 20x10 prop from Aircraft International......looks great, but I'll likely modify the paint a little bit.

I'm hoping for warmer weather so that I can spray the color coats. Right now, we have snow on the ground, with temps in the 20s.

If I can spray color sometime this month, I'll be a happy camper.

Test run went well...... I haven't messed with a G62 in about 15 years. This carb on this one doesn't have a choke. Is this normal?

Plane looks terrific

As far as the choke, I have a G-38 without choke or supposed built in choke. obviously carb changes were made. not sure when. Unfortunately I am not ready to run mine so I cannot share any insight on starting or issues without a separate choke. cannot image you will have any problems once you getting starting procedure down.
