Anyone ever thought about a Telamaster Bipe, Well I love telamasters , and I love biplanes soo, I built one.
Started with a Super Tiger 2000, then went to a Saito 182. Flys like dream !!! |
RE: Telamaster Bipe ?
Too cool. Always fun to kit bash, although I had not seen one of these before. A biplane trainer!:D

RE: Telamaster Bipe ?
Am I seeing what I think I'm seeing or am I totally tripping? LOL
Thanks for sharing. Please tell us more about the plane. For instance, It looks like you maintained the original incidence on the top wing, but the bottom wing looks to be closer to 0 degrees incidence. Does it float even more than a single wing tele? Looks like it might have VTOL performance! LOL Tom |
RE: Telamaster Bipe ?
The Top is a standard Telamaster wing with stock dihedral and -1 degree incidence.
The bottom wing had 0 dihedral and 0 incidence . The engine, the Saito 182 was mounted with no offset. It floated a little better than the standard Telamaster. Loops were tight, and flatspins were FLAT. Flat turns were a ball. The Sato 182 was a perfect match. Hovered well but would not pull out. Slow, low, flying was what I made it for and it did it well. Unfortunately, I lost it due to Rx failure week before last. Was taxiing out when the throttle went wide open and the plane went nuts on the ground. It then went about 3 feet off the ground and crashed. I mean Shopvac crash. But the hard part is over and now I can build another one.:D |
RE: Telamaster Bipe ?
Rats, sorry to hear of it's demise. It's a cool plane. Glad to hear you'll rebuild!

RE: Telamaster Bipe ?
Was a neat plane to see. How come I am always looking the other way when a plane crashes?
|
RE: Telamaster Bipe ?
Like the saying goes: I don't want to see a plane crash, but if ones does, I want to see it.
