Default Gas to Electric Motor Mount Position on Firewall

Newbe question. In converting glow to electric how do you figure out where to mount the brushless motor mount so the motor shaft exits the cowling same as the nitro motor did?

If the firewall doesn't have a crosshatch mark for alignment, I just install the motor/mount sans retainers. Slip on the cowl, and using the prop adapter line up the motor to cowl.

Easier if you have the fuse sitting vertical. But once lined up, slip off the cowl and mark you mount holes.

Definitely have the fuse sitting vertical to make the alignment perfect. You could stripe the fuse on a ladder to make it vertical.
