Hi guys,
Just bought this model & want to make it electric.
Looking at Hobby City's outrunners i'm not quite sure on which motor would suit.
I'm hoping for a very good performer using 8s-4p lipos.
Maybe this [link=http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idproduct=2101]outrunner[/link]? but again just not sure.
Wing Span:51in/1300mm
Fuselage length: 60in/1525mm
Wing Area:43 sq dm
Flying Weight:2800g
Engine:46-60 2C

That baby with 8S???!!! Are you looking to reach 0-100 in 3 secs? Hehehehee ... I am pretty sure she will fly on 4S and on 5S she will be pretty fun. With 6S, you will be enjoying things a lot. You need to get the right motor as you do not have much ground clearance.
If you wanna go with 5S I would take the same motor with about <650KV with a 12x10 prop and on 4S maybe something in the 700 KV range for a 12x10 too. You can expect to pull about 50A on the 5S set up.
