Was that the 40 size, if so I imagine it is well powered. Years ago I had the Elder 20, that was one of many stolen from my acrage. I don't remember the wingspan but it was a lot of fun. They are good sport planes.

Hi here are some pictures of my very old original Elder. From the late 80s i think. Has 50 inch wingspan. Power is very old O S 20. Putters around like 1914.This thing will fly forever ( i hope ). I enlarged rudder. Much better control. Since i am 78 years old i do not need a plane that gives me more gray hair. Enjoy Lou
