OS 70FS valve

Anyone ever put the two piece collates back on a valve stem. I've tried for almost an hour and can't do it. Any help or trick?

I use a small open end wrench to push the keeper down. A touch of grease will stick the collets in place while you arrange them to fit.

I use the open end wrench but the valve retainer itself seemed to help hold the keys in place.
