15% Flex Fuel and Glow Plugs
I just saw a news article that a 15 %ethanolgasoline was going to be sold. I'm wondering what percent would be need for it to work with a glow plug? Of course, you would have to figure in the oil and that would reduce the % of Ethanol. 20% nitro glow fuel is 65% ethanol So I'm guessing that a lower % ethanol would probably ignite OK. Just a curious thought.

Great link. It'l keep me busy for a couple hours. Ihad forgoten about the E85 blend. You don't see that very often here in Ca. I was back in Mich this spring and saw a couple stations that sold it. It was close to a buck a gallon cheaper than the regular gas, and you have to have a "FlexFuel" car to use it. I saw a news report on a station in Ventura that was now selling the E85, but that's a 200 mile round trip. Not much savings in that.
More Google work to do.

Actually there is 0% ethanol in glow fuel. Our little engines run on methanol based fuel. Big difference here.

It's turning out that there is no place within a hundred miles of me that sells E85, so Iguess for now. Its back to Omega 15%.
